If you give a friend a flower..

...It will surely make them smile! I once read in one of my old Victorian stories, about how they would take little bouquet 's and leave them hanging on the front door of a friend. Obviously this would bring delight to home owner when they opened the door and found the sweet little tussie mussie! The idea inspired me to make one of my own for a friend, but in my case she caught me hanging it on her back door! But as hoped for , it brought happiness to both of us, and i got a big ol hug out of it! Mission accomplished!   Happy Wednesday :) xo Dawn

I'm all about the packaging

I really have fun coming up with wowee way's to wrap ,or package a gift. Sure I could make my life easier by just using a typical roll of wrapping paper, and a dollar store bow, but that's just boring. So when I needed a bridal shower gift for my friend Melissa, I knew I wanted it to look particularly special ....

  I used plain white boxes, pretty vintage lingerie ad's, Traci Bautista Collage Pauge, and some old lace to made her gift fun, and exciting inside, and out! So put a little extra love into your gift giving, and prepare yourself for some oooh's and ahhh's!

I chose a soft looking gown advertisement and Collage Pauged ,to glue and seal.

It was a wonderful Bridal Shower!

Idea Note Book's

My mind alway's crankin. When I look at everyday object's my mind comes up with a million other off-shoot's for project's art etc. Same with magazines and catalog's. I see the initial outfit or decor for a few second's ,then I reel with numerous idea's. People think it's awesome to be able to do so many different thing's, and to be creative in general, but I gotta tell you, many times it's kept me up till the wee hour's. True, I do work my artsy mojo best at night, but when I finally have to give in to the Land of Nod, then I find the only thing that clear's my head is to sketch, journal, and, or clip and paste in the blank notebook's or sketch pad's I keep by my bedside. As long as I have whatever it may be on paper,then I can relax knowing, now I won't forget it, and frankly it's ding dang relaxing to clip magazine pic's and glue stick'em! You should give it a whirl!

I love the cheap little blank book's you can purchase in Michael's dollar-ish bin's. I buy several then use them for individual ideas: Fashion, Bracelet's Necklace,Art, Recipe's, etc. Keep them handy all over your casa, and free those creative juices!
