Double the pleasure , double your fun

That's what happens when I do two projects at one time. You see I was working on a gift for one of my friend's. when the post man delivered my present for ME.. My IPad mini! Yay! My friends gift was a painting I did that was just her style. I framed it and decided to put my art pic on my new IPad , and make a custom case at the same time. I used an old book that was a recent featured find, and I carefully removed the pages and padded the inside with sheets of craft foam. Next I printed a handmade Italian paper pattern on sticky back felt, and made elastic corners to hold my device all snug. After attaching a length of old lace to tie it shut, just like that I had a new,old, one of a kind IPad case! I was Pretty enamoured with the outcome. Happy weekend to you all!xox Dawn:)

I collect a lot of Victorian illustrations , ads , and especially the fun old risqué lingerie clad pic's sent via postcard, mainly between two gentleman( yeah riiight) They are hard to come by, but my little collector guy,saves em for me because he a gem ! I thought I'd share this fun collage of Parisian "lady's, in very un- ladylike attire! In the early 1900's it used to be folded up, and could be bought out of a machine just like a gumball, but this was more like man candy! Hubba, hubba! Silly , but really interesting ! Happy Thurs!!

Wood burned Maple Spoon's

As a thank you gift for a friend who is a master gardener, I decided to burn some unusual flora, on some really nice wood cooking spoon's. Since she also has a spankin new kitchen to cook in, I thought this would be the perfect gift! Hmmm what other design's to do? I wanna and am gonna make some more ! Happy Wed!
